I would like to take this time to thank all those involved with Tecumseh Community Development including the boards of directors from the following communities:

Aamjiwnaang, Kettle & Stony Point, Walpole Island, Delaware Nation, Munsee-Delaware Nation, OneidaChippewa of the Thames, Chippewas of Nawash, Saugeen FN, and Caldwell FN.

These are our core communities that from our inception in 1993 have been guiding, and helping us to assist the entrepreneurial spirit of their members within their communities.

Tecumseh Community Development Corporation was created in 1993 from two organizations. One was ARISE (Association of Reserves for Improvement of Social Economies) which had the Aboriginal Capital Portfolio, and SBBIO (Seven Bands Business Incentive Organization) which had the Community Futures Portfolio.

Our ability to help with community economic development and entrepreneurial loans has been on the increase in the past years. Starting with an investment fund of $2.9 million, these funds have now grown to exceed $3.7 million.

In dollar amounts we have loaned out over $7 million from both funds, creating or maintaining over 800 jobs.

It is my hope to have this corporation grow to assist both the entrepreneurs as well as the communities in all aspects of their business needs.

In closing I would like to thank the people that work very diligently to make these loans and developments happen at the grassroots level. Our staff works very hard to help those in need in your community to build solid, stable companies, which will grow and foster other business ideas throughout the community.

Meegwetch,

Tecumseh Community Development
